Welcome to Dental Smarts

       I am a general dentist with many years of experience in general dentistry. I am  also an  adjunct  professor at a dental school where I have taught clinically and  lectured since the early seventies. In 1998, I founded  a small Internet Company, and, although I am not an accomplished web designer,  I enjoy making web sites.  I also have a law degree  (I am not offering legal advice here and I no longer practice law) as well as a dental degree.  Over the years, my  medico-legal experience has given me a unique perspective on many aspects of American dentistry.

       On these sites, I  try to present information as honestly as I can.  That means I may write a few things that would not, or could not, be articulated by organized dental groups, manufacturers or individual practitioners. On these sites I represent only myself. I have nothing to sell and I am not trying to attract business to my own practice (we are busy enough!)   I have no angle or agenda other than the wish to share some things that I have learned. I am not paid by any manufacturer, supplier or dental office in return for my opinions on these sites. Nor do I take cases as a dental expert witness or as an attorney.   When you visit my sites,  you can expect that I will try to convey to you my honest views and insights, nothing else.
